MUST HAVE:
- 3 years of commercial experience in a similar position;
- Knowledge of WordPress features and architecture;
- Knowledge of programming languages: PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
- Ability to create responsive, modern themes and familiarity with plugins that extend WordPress functionality;
- Knowledge of design patterns and best practices (KISS, DRY, SOLID, Clean Code, GitFlow);
- Knowledge of database structure and MySQL;
- Fluency in English (min. B2);
- Ability to use plug-ins:
- ACF PRO among others, block creation for Gutenberg,
- Contact Form 7 m.in. creating customized forms,
- SEO RankMath,
- and others
- Highly developed communication skills.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Knowledge of SEO basics and WordPress optimization;
- Knowledge of Docker, Composer, Vite/WebPack;
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions and AWS;
Who do we look for
Currently, we are looking for a person who will join the WP Kraken Team as a Freelance WordPress Developer. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Creating and editing websites based on CMS WordPress;
- Developing the internal framework on which we build sites;
- Ongoing testing and troubleshooting;
- Taking care of responsiveness, aesthetics, and accuracy of implementation and performance of sites;
- Taking care of the security of the sites;
- Working in a fully automated environment (Docker) along with CI/CD processes;
Massive Pixel Creation Sp. z o.o. has been operating on the market for over 15 years, focusing on international markets. MPC owns several brands such as Zendo, MassivePixel.io, and WP Kraken. Each of them offers different services/products, but all belong to the parent company MPC.
We create our products, provide outsourcing services, and have a service department called WP Kraken, for which we are currently seeking a Freelance WordPress Developer. Over the years, our service department has expanded its offerings to cover more technologies, but this was not the best path. We are now working on a more focused offering centered around WordPress (a return to our roots). The WP Kraken brand is currently undergoing a complete rebranding, and we are also working on a new lead acquisition strategy. We want our services to be as productized as possible, rather than custom-made as they have been so far.
